Alberta P. Ridgell

Alberta P. Ridgell, 102, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. Mrs. Poston was born the daughter of the late Gussie Turner Poston and McCray Poston. She was a member of Eastside Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husbands, George W. Keels and James Ridgell; sisters, Vivian Hodge and Ruth Gaskins; and brothers, Hasford Poston, Phillip Poston and James Poston. Mrs. Poston is survived by her daughter, Glenda Pate of Edisto Island, SC; granddaughter, Leslie Wood; great-granddaughter, Jamie Werling (Matthew) of Conway, SC; and brother, Maxey Poston of Florence, SC. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Eastside Christian Church, 3541 E. Palmetto Street, Florence, SC29506.Family will receive friends following the service at the Church until 5:00 PM. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastside Christian Church, 3541 E.
