Alleyne D. "Nanna" Phillips Florence, SC Alleyne D. Phillips, 90, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Peace free Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was born in Salisbury, NC a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Ruth Bengal Drye.She retired as a Bookkeeper with White Swan Laundry after more than 30 years of service.She was a member of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church and had most recently attended Peace Free Will Baptist Church.She was a member of the Greenwood Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewells Quinby Phillips, who died March 10, 1989, daughter, Brenda Warren, who died July 4, 2009, brother, Ralph Drye and her twin sister, Pauline Stowe. Surviving are her 3 sons, Dewells (Donna) Phillips, Jr. of Timmonsville, Sammy (Gail) Phillips and David L. (Cecile) Phillips both of Florence; sister, Juanita Goodman of Reidsville, NC; 6 Grandchildren, Karen, Dustin, Quinton, Garrett and Sammy Phillips, Jr. and Shawn Warren; 2 great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Phillips and Jakob Warren. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Peace Free Will Baptist Church, 897 Third Loop Rd., Florence, SC29505.
