Ann Hicks Bigelow

Ann Hicks Bigelow, 86, of Florence, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. Mrs. Bigelow was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Connie Zeddie Hicks and Zola Maude Stone Hicks. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and retired from Unisun as an insurance specialist. Ann loved to do crafts and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aurelius Deloni Bigelow, Sr.; sons, Michael Lucas Bigelow, Sr. and Aurelius Deloni “Del” Bigelow, Jr.; daughters-in-law, Carol Bigelow and Lisa Bigelow Colon; brothers, Desi Leroy Hicks, Connie Zeddie Hicks, Elijah Logan Hicks, Chalmus Moses Hicks, and Charlie Rudolph Hicks; sisters, Ellie Augustine, Gertie Frierson, Minnie Mae Mathieu, and Dorothy Davis. Surviving are her children, Wanda Gail B. Rudisill of Florence, and Audrey A. Bigelow of Florence; 5 grandchildren, William Tucker, Jr. of Florida, Misty Martin of Florence, Michael (Ashley) Bigelow, Jr. of Sumter, Benjamin (Chessie) Bigelow of Florene, and Christopher Bigelow of Florence; and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Highland Park United Methodist Church with the service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Baxter and staff of MICU at MUSC Health of Florence.
