Ann Smith

Vera Ann Smith, 81, of Marion, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Ms. Smith was born in Hope Mills, NC, the daughter of the late Richard E. Smith Sr. and Annie Lou (Jackson) Smith.

Ms. Smith owned White Flower Shop in Marion, SC before working as a florist for Tommy’s Wholesale Florist in Florence, SC.

Surviving are sisters, Melba Smith Lawrence (Gerald) of Timmonsville and Joy Smith Hicks (Freddie) of Mt. Pleasant; her brother, Rick Smith (Pamela) of Effingham; along with a number of nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Barbara Lee

Ms. Smith is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Harriet Jane Smith Fleming.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Florence Memorial Garden Mausoleum Chapel.
