Anna Bell Corbett Coe

Anna Bell Corbett Coe, at the beautiful age of 79, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Hailing from Effingham, she was the only daughter of the late Anna Bell Rhodes Corbett and M. F. Corbett, Sr. Graduating from Southside High School in 1961, she worked as a secretary in the tobacco and finance industries. She retired quickly to wife and mother until her later years when she greatly enjoyed learning to draw with pencils and paint with watercolor and oils. Many of her beautiful artwork will be enjoyed for years to come by many. She was a member of Florence Baptist Temple and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James Olin Corbett and M.F. Corbett, Jr. She is survived by her doting, loving husband of 44 years, Gary Van Coe; her only child, Angela Lynn Hutchinson (Sidney) Howze; grandchildren, Wesley, Christina, Ashley, and Daniel Howze. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 14, 2022, in the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel. Burial will follow at McLaughlin Cemetery.
