Benjamin Robert "Bobby" Lanier, Sr. Florence, SC Benjamin Robert "Bobby" Lanier, Sr., died Friday, February 10, 2012 in the McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Lanier was born in Savannah a son of Josh Robert Lanier and the late Linda Johnson Lanier. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He retired in 2005 from Wellman Industries in Darlington after 30 years of service. Mr. Lanier was preceded in death by his Mother and a brother, David Lanier. Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Cynthia Strickland Lanier of Florence; 2 sons, Benjamin Robert (Kristin) Lanier, Jr., of Hollywood, SC, and Joshua Ryan Lanier of Florence; father, Josh Robert Lanier and his wife, Camille of Sylvania, Ga; Grandson, Benjamin Robert Lanier, III Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Burial will follow, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, P.O.
