Bennett "Benny" Springs

Bennett Springs, 62, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Mr. Springs was born in Denville Township, New Jersey, a son of the late Galen and Bonnie Ivey Springs.He was a member of Southern Roots band and was nicknamed, “Guitar Slinger”.He loved music, playing guitar, and Nascar.He also loved to hunt deer, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ashley Springs; brother, Rocky Springs; and ex-wife/friend, Donna Poston. Surviving are his daughter, Hannah (Jarrod) Cockfield; grandchildren, Caitlyn (Chris) Prentice, Taylor Lamb, Katie Cockfield, and Dawson Cockfield; great-grandchild, Chandler Prentice, and Caden Prentice; sisters, Donna Gail Springs, and Vera (Chad) Hewitt; sister-in-law, Phyllis Springs; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Michelle) Springs, Lindsey (Joel) Bibler, and Tyler (Jessica DuBose) Hewitt; several great nieces and great nephews, and his furry companion, Abbey.
