Benny A Felts

Benny A. Felts, 86, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Mr. Felts was born the son of the late Lillian Irene Martin Felts and Otis Glenn Felts. He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple and loved his church and his pastor. There he participated in the operating of the sound system. He sang in the choir and worked with the bus ministry in Mt. Airy, NC and helped Bob Green at his aviation ministry by donating tools. Mr. Felts also served as an Airman 1st Class for the United States Airforce. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing board games and cards with his family. Mr. Felts was a designated score keeper who could add in his head faster than a calculator. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Betty Chappell, and his brother, Grady Felts. Mr. Felts is survived by his wife Sissy R. Felts; son, Michael Felts of North Port, FL; daughters, Rennie Felts of Belmont, NC, Trina Cox of Greenville, SC, and Trixy (Forrest) Stanley of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Brandon (Jill) Cox, Kathryn (Jared) Vernon, Stephen Cox, Madison (Trae) Livingston, and Jackson Stanley; great-grandchildren, Mallory Vernon, Emma Vernon, Barrett Vernon, and Carter Cox. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Florence Baptist Temple directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Florence National Cemetery.
