Bernard Daniel Mckenna

Bernard Daniel McKenna Myrtle Beach, SC Bernard Daniel McKenna, 76, of Myrtle Beach, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2010 in a Florence Hospital after an illness. Bernie was born on June 3, 1934 in Newark, NJ, a son of the late Bernard James and Bridie Sheehan McKenna.He is a Veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean War and retired as a Standard Bred Horseman.Bernie loved the Giants and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Freehold Elks, BPOE. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Patricia McKenna; six children and their spouses, Debbie and Ted Burke, Barbara Jean Newmiller, Bernard and Audrey McKenna, Patrick and Adrianna McKenna, Chris and Joanna McKenna, and Brian and Ginna McKenna; a sister, Kathleen Voss; a brother, Michael (Maria) McKenna; and thirteen grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
