Betty Lou Hayes Gore

BETTY LOU HAYES GORE FLORENCE, S.C. BETTY LOU HAYES GORE, 77 of Quinby, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 in a Florence Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Gore was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Elston and Ruth Timmons Hayes. As a member of Quinby United Methodist Church, she served as a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of the UMW. She was a member of Quinby Garden Club and had retired as Secretary for Hoffmeyer Animal Clinic. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lloyd Gore. Surviving are her daughter, Susan Gore Sease and her husband, George of Quinby; 2 grandchildren; Mary Lynn Sease and Ruth Sease of Quinby; sister, Jean Moore of Evergreen; 2 aunts, Marie Crowley of Sumter and Margie Price of Springfield, MO; uncle, Jimmy Timmons of Florence; 2 sisters-in-law, Clara Hayes of Las Vegas and Jean Bearden of Moncks Corner; and her Companion, Paco. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Quinby United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Old Zion Cemetery in Galivants Ferry, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
