It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who passed away peacefully on June 18, 2023, at the age of 84. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born in Coward, SC on December 30, 1938, she was the daughter of Heyward and Pearl Carroway. She grew up in Florence County and attended McClenaghan High School before marrying her husband Jerry S McLamb Sr. and starting a family. Together, they raised five children instilling the importance of a relationship of Salvation in our Lord and savior, hard work, kindness, and compassion. She was the center of our family and the glue that held it together. Party planner, crazy good cook, picture taker, boo boo fixer, coloring buddy, puzzle assembler, cupcake/cookie baker, Disney movie watcher, best cheese grits maker,Easter egg dyer and hider, considerate Southern gentile lady, friend, confidante, teacher, babysitter, beach goer, lover of all things family, selfless and a wonderful human that will never be replaced . She was a kind and gentle soul who had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children [Kyle McLamb(Donna) of Florence, Jerry “Bud” McLamb Jr.(Melinda) of Florence, Mark McLamb(Melissa) of Greenville, SC, Kevin McLamb (Jeannie) and Shannon Muenks(Brad)of Greenville, SC, and most especially her grandchildren Thomas Mclamb, Eric McLamb, Hunter McLamb(Taylor), Meghan Boney(Vic), Morgan Flowers(Josh), Mason McLamb, Mills McLamb, Sloan McLamb, Molly McLamb, lauren McLamb, Austin Mclamb, Ashton Doyle(Shane), Bailey Burns, Brianna Burns and Sophie Muenks, And her precious 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents and sister Jeanette C Ruby of Florence, SC. We will always cherish the memories we have of our mother and the love she gave us. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, BB Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Thursday, June 22, 2023, in the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel with the service to be held at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
