Brian Edward Hewitt Florence, SC Brian Edward Hewitt, 55, of Florence, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 after an illness. Mr. Hewitt was born in Florence, SC a son of Sarah "Bunny" Grantham Hewitt and the late Charles B. Hewitt.He was educated in the Florence Public Schools and had attended Florence-Darlington Tech. He had been employed with Asea Brown Boveri.Brian was a US Navy veteran and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Surviving are his mother of Florence, SC; sons, Charles B. (Katie) Hewitt of Myrtle Beach and Joseph T. Hewitt of Florence; granddaughter, Olivia M. Hewitt of Myrtle Beach; brother, David (Margaret) Hewitt of Florence; sister, Laura (Luke) Lapierre of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nephew, Drayton Hewitt of Florence and a niece, Lucia Lapierre of Mount Pleasant; and a canine companion, Daisy. Memorials may be made to the Hebron Colony Ministries, 356 Old Turnpike Road, Boone, NC28607. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, October 8, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
