Celia Mcduffie Hinds

Celia McDuffie Hinds, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. Mrs. Hinds was born in Florence, SC, to the late Edna Mae Wilde McDuffie and Kenneth Norman McDuffie, Sr. She was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and retired from the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. She loved the ocean, collecting shells, traveling the world and was a member of several camping clubs. Celia had a joyful spirit and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth N. McDuffie, Jr., and sister, Nancy McDuffie. Surviving are her husband, William “Bill” Hinds of Florence, SC; son, William Dai (Neva) Wysong of Fork, SC; sister, Kathryn Brown of Lake City, SC; grandchildren, Kayla (Siouxchak), Kasen (Taylor), Nick, and Kerah Joy; and great-grandchildren, Rynn, Ivy, Liam, and Callan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1629 W Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 24, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
