Charles Billy Byrd

Charles Billy Byrd, 89, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Byrd was born in Marion, SC, a son of the late Tommy Coy Byrd and Reather Vernell Rhames Conyers. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Byrd attended McClenaghan High School, was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple and retired from Stone Container. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Ann Odom Byrd; brother, James Lee Byrd; and sisters, Dorothy Blackwell, Vera Powers, and Patricia Gerald. Surviving are his son, Reginald “Reggie” (Beth) Byrd of Summerville, SC; daughter, Robin (Paul) B. Anderson of Florence; and four grandchildren, Joshua Byrd, Rebecca Byrd, Jordan Matthews, and Emily Anderson.
