Chuck Baker

“Chuck Baker – Black Creek”, 67, of Florence, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022. Mr. Baker was born in Florence, SC a son of Sally Stokes Baker and the late Neil Baker.He was formerly employed with Nucor and former owner and operator of Havoline Express-Lube. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed the lake life, and loved the thrill of dog driving, hunting, and riding the Great Pee Dee River with his fellow river rats.He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed his time on earth with family and good friends.He never met a stranger and loved helping people. Surviving are his wife, Sonja Inabinet Baker; his dog, “Little Shit”; sons, Hunter “Bug” (Amber) Baker and E.J. (Jonellen) Edgerton; daughter, Jesseca (Garth) Bonnoitt; grandchildren, Alexis Edgerton, Emily (Graham) Edgerton, Charlie Ann Horton, Ava Baker, River Baker, Levi Butler, Drew Edgerton, Gunner Edgerton, and Chase Baker; brother, Hal Baker and Wade (Misti) Baker; sister, Laney Bell; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
