Clarence Russell Owens

Clarence Russell Owens, 58, of Florence, SC, passed away March 14, 2024, surrounded by his family at the McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Owens was the son of the late Clarence William Owens and Elva Rhames Clark. He was a member of Liberty Chapel Church of Florence and was employed with Nucor Steel for 25 years. He was a member of the Flintville Masonic Lodge #158 and a Shriner. He was active with Florence County Recreation Leagues for many years and was the owner/operator of Owens Service Center. He loved Clemson football and enjoyed being on the water with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Robin Todd. Surviving is his wife, Stacie Roberts Owens; daughters, Sarah (Joshua) Owens Kohut and Rebecca (Riley Jernigan) Grace Owens; a granddaughter, Catherine Elizabeth Kohut, due in August; sister, Kim Owens; in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Joe Roberts and Ms. Susan Roberts; stepsiblings; several nieces and nephews; and extended family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, and other times at their home. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Liberty Chapel. Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House.
