Clarence Oliver Smith

Clarence Oliver Smith, 79, of Pamplico, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Mr. Smith was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Louis Oliver Smith and Evelean Humphries Smith. He was a member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. Clarence was a truck driver for Carter Logging Company, whose CB name was “Squeezer”. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Trent Jon Smith; daughter, Melinda Hope Smith; brother, Lloyd Smith and Louis Smith; and sisters, Vickie Matthews and Helen Brown. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Grace Miller Smith of Pamplico; sons, Paxton (Robin) Smith of Pamplico and Derrick J. (Laura) Smith of Evergreen; daughter-in-law, Joye Smith; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Talbert Smith, Larry Smith, Oliver “Junior” Smith, and Jerry Smith; sisters, Ada Jones and Sherry Carmon. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.
