Cleybianne "Key" Carter White

Cleybianne “Key” Carter White, 82, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Ms. White was born the daughter of the late Nettie Locklair Turner and Cleyburn Carter. She was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. She was a librarian at Francis Marion University. She loved to play bingo and go to the beach. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Don White; and her niece, Tracey Bailey. Ms. White is survived by her sons, Keith White (Thea) and Johnny McLaughlin; daughter, Kim Cox; grandchildren, Cameron White, Elizabeth White, Mariah Godbold, Kristian Cox, and Billy McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Marie Cox, Landon James Cox and Khloe Madisyn Cox; sister, Arlene Wilson (Barry); and close friend, William “Sam” Pierce. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Florence Baptist Temple Chapel . Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
