Clifford Joseph Ginfrida, Jr.

Clifford Joseph Ginfrida Jr., 77, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Mr. Ginfrida was born in Rahway, NJ, the son of the late Clifford Joseph Ginfrida Sr. and the late Anne Ayers. He was a loving husband to his wife of over 50 years, Maria Isabel Pedro Ginfrida, and was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1966 until 1970. Cliff worked for GE for over 20 years designing and improving the first MRI’s and holds multiple USA and international patents involving his MRI designs. He loved sports, his favorite team being the New York Yankees, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Clemson Tigers. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Maria; sons, David Michael (Gina) Ginfrida and Scott Joseph Ginfrida; sister, Mary-Anne Bruno Ginfrida; grandchildren, Mia Ginfrida and Ella Ginfrida. Memorials can be sent to one’s charity of choice. A Christian wake service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, followed by the visitation until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 AM Monday, March 27, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
