Colon "Cb" Baxley, Jr.

Colon “CB” Baxley, Jr., 74, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. Mr. Baxley was born the son of the late Lula Elizabeth Brown Baxley and Colon Baxley, Sr. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, the American Heart Association, Cooks for Christ and South Florence Baptist Church. He loved sports and hunting. He played basketball in high school and college and was known by his nickname “CB”. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his niece, Pagie Williams. Mr. Baxley is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Toni Lynch Baxley; step-son, Douglas (Brandy) Jordan; sisters, Elizabeth Fowler and Jeanette (Tad) Reeser; nieces and nephews, Leslie (Gary) Smith, Cyndi Daugherty, James Williams and many other nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at South Florence Baptist Church directed Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Church and will be receiving family and friends at the home.
