Connie F. Phillips

Connie F. Phillips, 77, of Pawleys Island, SC passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024. She was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of the late Lewis C. Finklea, Jr. and Lena Edwards Finklea. She was a graduate of South Side High School and was a licensed Cosmetologist for over 40 years. She owned her own shop, Inlet Hair Designs in Murrells Inlet until she retired in 2010. Surviving are her husband, Gil Phillips; son, Nick Phillips; grandchildren, Blake, Shandi, and Johanna Phillips; sisters, Nancy (Donnie) Bailey and Kathy Turner; sister-in-love, Frances P. Shirley; 4 nephews; 5 nieces; and fur baby, Wasabi. Thanks to her caregivers from Agape Hospice, John Mullins, Chaplin, nurses, Alice Geddings, Jessica Chariker, Willimena Guyler- Gallant, Savannah Geddings, Tracie O’Neal, Teresa Pietrantonie, Amy Bock, First Light, Dorian Somboemma, Ruby Marsh, Anissa Runde and House Calls- nurse practitioners, Lauren Trent and Emily Moss. Memorial may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, www.act.alz.org or to Agape Hospice, 3938 Hwy. 17, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will also receive friends at the home of Nancy and Donnie Bailey, 1103 Pinkney Ave, Florence, SC 29505.
