CORBETT ERWIN BYRD Florence, S.C. CORBETT ERWIN BYRD, son of the late Floyd Erwin Byrd of Fayetteville, N.C. died on January 29, 2011. Surviving are his Wife, Beverly Byrd; Mother, Carrie Leigh Dawson Byrd; Brothers Jim, Wayne and Dwight Byrd; Three Sisters-in-Law; Mary, Sue and Barbara Byrd; Two Sons, Robbie and Chad McLaughlin; Daughter, Lynn (Brett) Buie and Granddaughter Blake; Stepsons Patrick and Wade McLaughlin; Nieces, Catherine (Jeff) Bond, Suzanne Longest, Rebecca (Jeff) McAllister, Christy (Ryan) Masi and Amanda Byrd and nephews Jimmy (Kim), Jeff (Rebecca) and Tony Byrd and their families. Byrd also leaves behind many aunts, cousins and extended family. Byrd was a Master Mason of Amity Lodge #340, a Knight Templar of Florence Commandery #10, an Omar Shriner, member and past-president of the South Carolina Claims Association, and Deacon of Effingham Presbyterian Church. The family will receive visitors Monday January 31, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A service will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Effingham Presbyterian Church beginning at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Effingham Cemetery.
