Daisy Eloise Turner

Daisy Eloise Turner, 90, of Effingham, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Mrs. Turner was born in Florence County, SC a daughter of the late Joseph Edgar Morris and Maggie Mims Morris.She was a charter member of Willow Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker.She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, and loved spending time with her family.Eloise loved God, being a wife of 70 years, and being a mom and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Margaret Wilkes and Joanne Gainey; sons-in-law, Kerry Craig and Arvle Wilkes, and her brothers, Alton Morris, Harry Lee Morris, Darrell Morris, Gene Morris, and Otis “Bo” Morris. Surviving are her husband, H.W. Turner, Sr. of Effingham; sons, Bo (Michelle) Turner and Kip (Amy) Turner;daughters, Judy Craig, Edith (Jerry) Watts, Connie (Mark) Braddock, and Jeannie (Robbie) Strickland; grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Bell, Keith Lawhon, Brandy (Matt) Hatchell, Jay (Jessica) Watts, Casey (Alex) Tarlton, Courtney (Kyle) Lewis, Christopher (Tierney) Braddock, Meredith Strickland, Hunter Turner, Graeson Powell, and Haedyn Turner, many great and great-great grandchildren, and a sister, Lois Jeffords. Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville, FL. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am Monday, November 15, 2021 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.Burial will follow in Turner Cemetery.
