Daniel "Danny" Bruce Humphries

Daniel “Danny” Bruce Humphries, 74, passed away July 17, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family and his dogs, Charlie and Darla. He was born in Florence, SC the son of the late Carl Waterman “Jack” Humphries and Lou Ann McCall. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Jack Carton Humphries and a sister, Elaine Humphries Edwards. Surviving are his wife Lois Webster Humphries; son, Mark Dominick Humphries; daughters, Danielle (Christopher) Humphries Carr and Jocie (Skip) Humphries Patterson; grandchildren, Marlee Humphries, Dylan Carr, Joseph Carr, Drew Patterson, Caroline Patterson; sisters, Diane Humphries Smoak and Carolyn Humphries Wickliffe. Mr. Humphries was a lifelong member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was a 1967 graduate of McClenaghan High School and was a graduate of Florence Darlington Technical College with an associate degree in engineering technology. He worked at Wellman/Fiber Industries Darlington Plant for 37 years. Memorials can be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1629 W Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501. The family will receive friends 2:00 -3:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the Family Life Center at St. Paul United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.
