Danny Miles

Danny Miles, 73, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Miles was born the son of the late Annie Mae Byrd Miles and Robinson Bubba Miles. He graduated from Mayo High School and Florence-Darlington Technical College where he went on to be an instructor for the Automotive Diesel Program. Mr. Miles was also an Engineering Associate with the South Carolina Department of Education and Transportation and was the owner and operator of Miles Service, Inc. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his baby brother, Wayne Miles. Mr. Miles is survived by his wife, Charity B. Miles; daughter, Monique (Michael, Jr.) Thomas; brother, Leonard Hankins, Jr.; sister, Robin Diane Miles; his mother-in-law, Ruth Brown; sisters-in-law, Melissa Alexander and Margaret Brown; grandchildren, Micah Thomas and Laila Thomas; nephews, Skylar Miles, Kristopher Alexander, and Brent (Courtney) Brown; niece, Jordan Alexander; grand-nephews, Skylar Miles, Jr. and Kyson Miles; grand-nieces, Alana Brown and Aria Brown; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and close family friend, Margaret Robinson. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Chase. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Palmetto Street Church of God, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the Church. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
