David Brian Barino

David Brian Barino, 56, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Mr. Barino was born the son of the late James W. Barino and the late Violet Jewell Streett Barino. Mr. Barino was employed by Bruce Hospital, which turned into the Carolinas Hospital System and then MUSC of Florence, for over 30 years as project manager. He was employee of the year in 2016. David was the former state Power Lifting record holder for several years, and was owner of Carolina Barbell Gym. He was also a volunteer transporter for Carolina Boxer Rescue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy and Ricky Barino; Aunt, Vi Hudson; and father-in-law, D.R. Holt. Surviving are his wife, Debra Holt Barino; Brothers, Billy (Donna) Barino and Randy Barino; Goddaughter, Jenna Barino; Nieces and Nephews, Heather (Sam) Bowen, Riley Holt, Brandy Pruitt, Haley (Ryan) Toniolo, Michael (Nicole) Barino, Cavender Holt, and Caitlin Holt; Great Nieces, Michelle Barino, Olivia Toniolo, Tallon Toniolo; Mother-in-law, JoAnn Holt; Sister-in-law, Teresa (Roby) Pruitt; Brothers-in-law, Wayne (Missy) Holt and Jeff (Heidi) Holt, and many non-related nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Jeff and Heidi Holt. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
