DAVID E. MCCREA Florence, S.C. David E. McCrea, 79, of Florence, died Friday, February 4, 2011 in McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. McCrea was born in Williamsburg County, the son of the late Willie L. McCrea.He had retired in 2006 as a millwright after 38 years with Nucor Steel. He was a member of Palmetto Street Church Of God. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sadie Mae Ray McCrea; a son, David (Vickie) McCrea of Hartsville; his step-children; Betty (Albert) Bell, Eloreese (Joey) Matthews, and David (Debbie) Isgett, all of Florence; 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 6, 2011 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
