David Kenneth Grimsley

David Kenneth Grimsley, 85, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Mr. Grimsley was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Charlie Hezekiah Grimsley and Lilly Bailey Grimsley.He was a member of South Florence Baptist Church and retired after 42 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Eleanor Young Grimsley; daughter, Donna Grimsley; brothers, Marion Charles Grimsley, Ernest Franklin Grimsley, and James H. Grimsley; sisters, Beverly Isgett, Elizabeth Rivers, and Annie Ruth Woodham. Surviving are his son, Ken (Laura) Grimsley of Florence; daughter, Patti Grimsley of Florence; grandchild, Dani Bailey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Florence Baptist Church, 2720 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC29505, the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or to a charity of one’s choice. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
