David Lee Morris

David Lee Morris, 76, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023. Mr. Morris was born the son of the late Pearl Estelle Whitehurst and James Ellison Morris. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam. Mr. Morris was a machinist for Superior Machine Company for 32 years. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Janette Lee Fore Morris; brother, Harvin E. Morris; step-daughter, Shirley P. Jenkins; step-son, Charles Irvin Parrott, Jr. and step-grandchildren, B. J. Clark, Kathrina Turner and Ricardo Rosairo. Mr. Morris is survived by his step-daughters, Terry Parrott Clark of Florence and Sharon Parrott Rosario, of Darlington; step-grandchildren, Miranda McKenzie, Billy Turner, Jesse Turner, Samantha T. Williams, Angel Rosario, Shayla Rosario and Joshua Rosario; nine great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Frieda (Michael) Fore Herndon of Florence. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with military honors by the US Navy and the Veterans Honor Guard.
