DAVID RANDOLPH THOMAS FLORENCE, SC DAVID RANDOLPH THOMAS, 62, of Florence, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Thomas was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Edwin W. Thomas, Jr. and Elaine Lewis Thomas.He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War.He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and had attended First Free Will Baptist Church, was a member of the Hampton Lodge #204 AFM and a retired welder. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Yvonne Price Thomas of Florence; children, Clinton David (Kimberly) Thomas and Bethany Elaine Thomas, both of Florence; brother, Edwin "Tommy" (Vonnie) Thomas of Florence; grandchildren, Cassidy Thomas, Kamryn Thomas and Kimberlyn Matthews, all of Florence. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Masonic Rites being given by Hampton Lodge #204 AFM, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
