Dessie Irene Brady

Dessie Irene Brady, 94, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Mrs. Brady was born the daughter of the late Blance Taylor Trammel and John Trammel. She was a sales clerk with Belk Department Store and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Adolph Smith, and second husband, Less Brady. Mrs. Brady is survived by her son, Dennis (Judy) D. Smith of Mauldin, SC; daughters, Linda (Ron) Ann Burkhart of Summerville, SC and Patricia (Kenny) McElreath of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren, Rebecca “Becky” Poston, Tripp Woods who is currently stationed in Germany, Tim McElreath, Kenyon McElreath and Commander Dennis “DJ” Smith, Jr. USN; great-grandchildren, McCray Poston, Chamblee Poston, Reagan Woods, Ryan Woods, Lauren Smith, Taylor Smith, Sydnie Smith, Cooper Smith and Megan (Mike) Weigand; and great great-grandchildren, Maddox and Mason. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
