Donald Roy Funderburk

Donald Roy Funderburk, 73, of Florence, SC, passed away from complications of cancer on September 4, 2023. Mr. Funderburk was born in Greenwood, SC, the son of the late Roy Lee Funderburk and Margaret Edna Jones. He graduated from Lander College in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Jean Fields Funderburk; his sons, Neill Watson, and Hess Putnam; daughter, Stephanie Putnam; brother, Carl (Barbara) Funderburk of Greenwood, SC; sister, Joan (Bill) Cooper of Greensboro, NC; 7 grandchildren; nephews, Lee Funderburk, and David Cooper; nieces, Teresa Funderburk, and Peggy Downing. At Don’s request there will be no services. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
