Dorothy Mae Blackwell Lewis

Dorothy Mae Blackwell Lewis, 84, of Florence, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of the late Mary Jane Caulder Blackwell and Robert Blackwell.She was a very talented seamstress.Mrs. Lewis was a faithful member of Palmetto Street Church of God and worked in several departments of the Church, including Missions, Sunday School Classes and working with the children. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Robert Lewis; son Michael Eugene Lewis; three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gail Dennis, Janice Faye Lewis Roberts and Mary Louise Thomas; son, Wayne R. Lewis (Shelby); five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Entombment will immediately follow, Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Sunday at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel.
