Dorothy W. Mcelveen

Dorothy W. McElveen, 89, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Mrs. McElveen was born the daughter of the late Ruth Octavian Bolt Lambert and Dilmas Newton Lambert. She was a retired Finance Manager having worked with Liberty Loan and TransSouth. She attended Bethea Baptist Church and was a former member of Evergreen Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by husband, Hubert Alvin McElveen; son, Johnny Dan McElveen; daughter, Trudy Elaine Keyes and sister, Naomi Weidler Mrs. McElveen is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Lee Clarke and Wanda Rea Barnes, both of Florence; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
