Dottie Mae Hughes Florence, SC Dottie Mae Hughes, 76, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at her residence after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mrs. Hughes was born in Conway, SC a daughter of the late Blease and Maggie Cooper Jordan. She was a graduate of Conway High School and a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. Surviving are her loving husband of 58years, Aster Hughes of the home; 2 daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Coleman of Myrtle Beach and Gwen (Gene) Windham of Florence; son, Gregg (Jeannie) Hughes of Florence; 3 grandchildren, Dominique Norris of Myrtle Beach, Gregory Hughes and Chapel Hughes both of Florence; 3 great-grandchildren, Zoey, Zane and Zachary Norris all of Myrtle Beach; brother, Lloyd "Buddy" Jordan of Conway; 4 sisters, Fleetwood King, Myrtle Lee Squires, Shirley Jordan and Gail Hancock all of Conway. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC29577.
