Earnest Allen Broach

Earnest Allen Broach, 80, of Florence, SC, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. He was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Earnest B. Broach and Ella Mae Hatchell Broach. He retired from Sears after 15+ years. He was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church, was an avid woodworker, was a co-owner of Broach’s Swing Shop, and was an avid fisherman. Earnest was a great husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Herman Borey Broach, Larry Olen Broach, Charles R. Broach, and sister, Janette Hawkins. Surviving are his wife, Betty Burgess Broach; sons, Brantley (Sommer) Allen Broach and Christopher Julian Broach, both of Florence; grandchildren, Carmen Marie Broach of Florence and Lauren Grace Broach of Pamplico; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Sandra; brothers, Ralph (Annie Mae) Broach and Ranerson (Mary) Broach, both of Florence; and many friends. Memorials may be made to Peace Free Will Baptist Church, 897 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Peace Free Will Baptist Church with the funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
