Edward Wilson Coleman, 88, of Summerville, SC passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. Mr. Coleman was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Edward DeLeon Coleman and Vivian Turner Coleman. He was a U.S. Army Paratrooper during the Korean War and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a welder. Edward was a member of the Summerville Masonic Lodge #234 AFM, and was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his sons, Ray Coleman of Summerville and Russell (Jennifer) Coleman of Columbia; his daughter, Wanda Coleman LeNoir of North Charleston; his grandchildren, Samantha Coleman, Kimberly Craven, Joshua Coleman, Caroline Coleman, Price LeNoir, Peyton LeNoir, Glenn Martin Coleman II, and Allyson Coleman; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Jacob Coleman, Stephanie Coleman, Grace Craven, Lindsey Craven, and Levi Coleman; sister, Virginia Atkins of Taylors, SC. He is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Alice Broach Coleman; his sons, Jerry DeLeon Coleman and Glenn Martin Coleman; a grandson, Stephan Coleman; brother, Lanue Coleman. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
