Effie Mae Hudson Mitchell

Effie Mae Hudson Mitchell, 85, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022. Mrs. Mitchell was born on January 22, 1937, the daughter of the late Effie Welch Hudson and Ben Hudson. She worked at One Hour Martinizing for many years. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Clifford Mitchell; six siblings, one great-grandchild and a son-in-law. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her sons, Dennis Mitchell, William “Billy” Mitchell and David Mitchell; daughters, Lois (Calvin) Heath and Samantha Lane; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Marylee Carraway, and brothers, Ben Hudson, Jr., Gene (Shirley) Hudson and Paul (Shawn) Hudson. Family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
