Elizabeth Powell Cagle

Elizabeth Powell Cagle, 92, of Hannah, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Mrs. Cagle was born in Johnsonville, SC a daughter of the late Johnny Powell and Sara Tyler Powell. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where over the years she had served as a Sunday School teacher, had worked with the United Methodist Youth, sang in the choir, and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Johnsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Colon Cagle; and granddaughter, Marci Behling. Surviving are her son, Jimmy (Linda) Cagle; daughters, Yvonne (Wayne) Hanna and Sandra (Mike) Cox; grandchildren, Brian Cagle, Josh (Dr. Brystol) Cagle, Cole Cagle, Leslie (Brian) Goins, Emily (Curtis) Jones, and grandson-in-law, Dr. Ed Behling; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Murphy; special nephew, Johnny Powell. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502, www.mcleodfoundation.org. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Monday, November 28, 2022 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Hannah with the service to be held at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Entombment will be private.
