Elizabeth J. Brown Florence, SC Elizabeth J. Brown, 57, of Florence, died Monday, February 14, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Brown was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of Agnes Thompson Jenkins and the late Jessie W. Jenkins.She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Earl Brown, Sr. Surviving are her mother of Florence; son, Earl Brown, Jr. of Matthews, NC; daughter, Susan Brown of Hartsville; grandson, Wesley DeBerry of Effingham; sister, Evelyn (Frank) Matthews of Florence and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 17, 2011 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.Entombment of cremains will follow. The family will receive friends at the home of Evelyn and Frank Matthews, 2920 Secretariat Drive, Florence.
