Elizabeth "Betty" H. McGhee Flowers Florence, SC Elizabeth "Betty" H.McGhee Flowers, 76, of Florence, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, in a local hospital after an illness. Ms. Flowers was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Strawhorn McGhee. She retired from Peebles Department Store where she served as department manager and was a member of Parkwood Presbyterian Church. Ms. Flowers is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin "Joe" Flowers; a daughter, Julie A. Munn; and by 2 brothers, John McGhee and Robert McGhee. Ms. Flowers is survived by her son, Steven A Flowers of Goldsboro, NC; 6 grandchildren, Steven A. "Andrew" Flowers of Denver, CO, Sara E. Flowers of Fayetteville, NC, Kevin P. Flowers of Wilmington, NC, Christopher Fraley, Jordan Munn and Landon Munn, all of Florence; a great-grandchild, Logan Flowers of Denver, CO; a brother, Alex McGhee of England; 2 sister-in-laws, Mildred Moore and Shirley Cox, both of Florence. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Carolinas Hospice, 121 E.
