Ella Bailey Hatfield

Ella Bailey Hatfield, 92, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024. She was born in Florence County, SC the daughter of the late Ervin Bailey and Mary Bailey. Mrs. Hatfield retired as a Cutting Room Supervisor at La-Z-Boy after working there for many years. She was also a member at First Pentecostal Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, of 74 years, General Major Hatfield; and her seven siblings. Surviving are her sons, Wayne (Wanda) Hatfield, Tommy (Linda) Hatfield, Ronnie (Cynthia) Hatfield and Glenn (Elaine) Hatfield; daughter, Linda (Gary) Welling; stepson, Buddy Hatfield; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
