Ella Mae Stone Matthews Pamplico, SC Ella Mae Stone Matthews, 78, of Pamplico, died Wednesday, November 15, 2011 at McLeod Hospital under hospice care after an illness. Mrs. Matthews was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late James Briley "J.B." Stone, Sr. and Letha Lambert Stone.She was a faithful member of the Pamplico Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Matthews, who died in 1985, one grandchild, three great-grandchildren and a brother, J.B. Stone, Jr. Surviving are her children, Dimpie (Wayne) Russ of Pamplico, Edward "Bubba" (Sharon) Matthews of Darlington, Leroy (Debbie) Matthews of the Friendfield Community in Effingham, Larry (Sherrill) Matthews of Pamplico, Ronnie (Ella Mae) Matthews of Pamplico, Frank Matthews of Pamplico and Carolyn (Allen) Braddock of Effingham; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home to assist the family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in the Cox Family Cemetery.
