Emily Mullins Oulla, 85, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025. Emily was born in Marion, SC, on July 24, 1939, to Ernest Lelon Oulla, Jr. and Emily Mullins Oulla. She was a graduate of St. Marys Episcopal School in Raleigh, NC, and received her BA in music from Coker College in 1961. Emily began her professional career as a flight attendant with United Airlines. She later returned to South Carolina where she taught music for six years before becoming Field Director for the American Cancer Society. She later returned to her first love, music, and taught privately for twenty-five years. She was a member of the DAR and the Anglican Church of Our Savior, where she served as an organist and as a pianist at Parkwood Presbyterian Church, both in Florence. Emily was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Ernest Lelon Oulla III, her nephew, Price Mullins Oulla, Jr., and niece Margaret Neal Oulla Turner. She leaves behind a brother, Price Mullins Oulla (Bonnie); nieces, Emily Mullins Oulla Perle, Katherine DeMerrill King Oulla Wilson (Ben), Barbara Jeanne Oulla Gallaher (Tag), Elizabeth King Oulla Mackenroth (Scott); grand nieces and nephews, and many friends who will all miss her dearly. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 8, at 10:30 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence. Funeral arrangements handled by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
