Ernest Lore Pennell

Ernest Lore Pennell, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Mr. Pennell was born the son of the late Elvia Underdown Pennell and Walter Ralph Pennell. He was a veteran of the US Navy was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ann Helms Pennell; a grandson; brother, J. D. Pennell; and sisters, Mildred Roberts and Sylvia Jean Pennell. Mr. Pennell is survived by his sons, Rev. Tony Pennell (Libby) of Florida and Charles Pennell of Florence; daughters, Angela Ragsdale of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Sharon Nycum (Charles) of Florence; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Darrel Pennell of Lenoir, NC, Wayne Pennell of Savannah, GA, and Walter Ralph “Ricky” Pennell, Jr. of Lenoir, NC. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
