Ernest Lewis Powlesland

Ernest “Ernie” Lewis Powlesland, 72, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at his home. He was born in Florence, SC, the son of the late Glaydeth Fountain Powlesland and Ernest Powlesland, Sr. Ernie retired from CSX Transportation after 32 years as a Machine Operator and was a member of Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Nikki Rotan; and sister, Shirley Groot. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Euzelia Powlesland; daughter, Jessica (Lynn) Williams; grandchildren, Dawson Rotan, Ky Rotan, Austin Atkinson, and Ava Williams; son-in-law, Mickey Rotan; sister, Barbara Jean (Sonny) Warr; and his special pet, Peanut. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
