Eva Mae Strawn Rogers Effingham, SC Eva Mae Strawn Rogers, 89, of Effingham, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011 in a local health care facility after an illness. Mrs. Rogers was born in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Queen Mary Twitty Strawn.She was a member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Peggy Lynn Anderson Yarborough:son-in-law, Ronald Yarborough; a grandchild, Dana Anderson; a sister; and eight brothers. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Perry Lewis Rogers, Sr. of Effingham; six children, Mary G. (Curley) Nettles of Effingham, Pat (Floyd) Crawford of Timmonsville, Bobbie (Billy) Grainger of Mars Bluff, Bill (Wanda) Galloway of Effingham, O'Neal (Lorraine) Anderson of Effingham, and Perry Lewis Rogers, Jr. of Effingham; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; twelve great great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a church of one's choice. The family wishes to thank the 7th floor nurses at Carolinas Hospital System for all their love and care they gave to Mrs. Rogers.
