Exie Lillian Turner Morris Florence, SC Exie Lillian Turner Morris, 74, died October 22, 2010 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Morris was born in Florence County, SC a daughter of the late Presley and Glennie Mae Phipps Turner. She was a member of Bethsaida United Methodist Church, where she was a longtime devoted Christian. She was a Lay speaker. Her life was centered around her family. She enjoyed baking. She was formerly employed by Leggs of Florence and Marlowe Manufacturing. She was owner and operator of a Bakery and after retirement she became employed in Food Services at North Vista School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Benjamin James Morris, Sr.; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are a son, Benjamin “Benjy” Morris, Jr., and his wife, Peggy Chavis Morris; daughter, Cathy Ann Morris all of Florence; 2 granddaughters, Ashley Michelle Morris Sweat and her husband, Danny, Stephany Morris Scott and her husband, James Dallas all of Florence; 3 great-grandchildren, Chandlyr Benjamin Morris, Lillyanna Kathryn Scott and Jalyn Denyce Scott all of Florence; beloved sisters, The Sumter Bunch and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethsaida United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Bea Ann Holloman, 117 E.
