Flora "Patsy" Mae Poston

Flora “Patsy” Mae Poston, 94, of Florence, SC, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Cullie McKissick and Eloise Pearl Haselton Turner. Flora was a dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a proud Army wife. A talented professional seamstress for many years, she also owned Pat’s Grocery and had a passion for selling Avon and jewelry. Known for her incredible cooking and kind heart, she embraced everyone with warmth and love. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Austin Poston; siblings Carlyle McKissick and Della Sue Campbell; father of her children, Richard Austin Poston; and second husband Robert Wesley Coleman. She is survived by her sons, Richard Allen Poston and Jeffrey Brice Poston; daughters, Deborah Janice Hudson and Teresa Laurence; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and extended family. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in the Sanctuary at Prospect Methodist Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery and family will visit with friends immediately following.
