A House is made of Brick and Stone, but a Home is made of love alone. Our beloved mom, Grannie and Great-Grandmother, Frances Willis Cook, died on December 13, 2024, after a long illness. She was 84. Frances was the glue and heart of our home and family. She was married for 39 years to her soulmate, Ralph, who preceded her in death. She was devoted to her three daughters, Helen, Catherine and Carolyn from her previous marriage to Stephen Koszewski, Jr. Born the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elbert S. Willis, Sr, Frances is also preceded in death by her brother, Elbert S. Willis, Jr. Frances was "Grannie" to Carolyn Moseley, Sarah, Stephen, Catherine Frances and Brian. Just recently, she became a great grandmother to Lane. Frances enjoyed spoiling everyone, taking the family on beach trips, going strawberry picking, giving cooking lessons, and doing arts & crafts. After being a full-time mom and traveling the world as the wife of a military man, she had a very successful career in Northern Virginia selling new homes to families. She touched many lives. Family gatherings were most important to Frances, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. We feel she planned this gathering for us all to be together; to be stronger together in her absence. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 4th at 1pm at Christ Church, 2305 N. Williston Road, Florence, South Carolina, 29506, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Christ Church for the maintenance of the church grounds.
